Hey hey, I’m a female (24) American in Berlin looking to start a band. I sing, play the acoustic rhythm guitar fairly well, and the fiddle. I write my own music, but I’m wanting to work with musicians with whom I can collaborate and write. I’m no opera singer or anything, but my voice is unique and can adapt to a wide range of genres. I have been on the stage since I was like 11 years old, and writing my own songs since I was writing my first words. Genres ; literally down for anything, with live shows in mind and something that can connect well with an audience. Most of the songs I’ve written have leaned more indie folk rock, story telling-style but not sleepy. Hey there, I play guitar and I am looking for people to write music, perform and record together. To me, it is more important to form a strong musical connection rather liking same stuff but of course it is great the have a common ground as well. I cannot name too many names or genres but I enjoy musicians who have varied styles of songs. Like the Beatles, the albums of RHCP with Frusciante on them. I enjoy R&B, popular music, traditional and folkloric music, drum and bass, synth pop, funk. I usually do not enjoy a very heavy guitar oriented music and like to think more in terms of composition as a whole. Additionally, I studied music and played in a gypsy jazz band before. I have a few demos of compositions and I am really looking to forward to work on, edit with people who we would get along, them as a group but also work on new pieces. To create however we would want to sound like. I do not really write lyrics so a vocalist who likes to sing or has things to say, keyboard player, drum player or a bass player is most welcome. Hi all, Valentino here, 31y.o., intermediate-level guitarist playing for over 10 years now. I love music, and guitars in particular (I REALLY love them, I am kind of a guitar geek actually!), but haven't got much opportunity to meet musicians in Berlin so far. I am looking for other musicians to play regularly and have fun together, and get serious writing our own music if we feel like (would appreciate that, but not a must.. what matters is to enjoy playing music!). I listen to a lot of different music, from blues, jazz and folk to stoner, nu-metal, prog-metal, post-rock etc. But to give you an idea, some of my favourite bands are Alter Bridge, Linking Park, Tool... let's say that those genres would be my first choice, but would love to play other stuff as well. I am very motivated, and can commit to rehearsal time every weekend. During the week I may be up for a late afternoon/evening jam as well, but cannot guarantee due to my job. Not even a year later, Memphis-based Lang has released her sophomore EP, Bad Luck, a collection of hard-hitting indie rock songs that capture a coming-of-age love story from Lang’s fresh, distinctive perspective. Some of my influences are Radiohead, Muse, Foo Fighters, Mutemath, Foals, Tame Impala, that kinda stuff, and lately electronic producer stuff like Bonobo and Kllo. I'm also a wannabe producer (I record and produce my own stuff and have a few music ideas lying around) and play some decent rhythm guitar. Dear Berliner drummers, we're searching for a drummer and/or percussionist to join us in a musical adventure, which we'd currently describe as a psychedelic project, literally and poetically. We're looking forward to receiving your contribution and help us to create and refine our own sound fusing many styles. What we play and our musical influences are quite diverse, some keywords capturing the thin line between genres and adjectives are for example: progressive, funk, space, latin, punk, acid, alternative, stoner, electronic, grunge, reggae, dark, cumbia, experimental, metal, folk, synth, kraut, noise, jazzy, post-... rock. We've been playing for a couple of months already and we decided that we really want to pursue this project seriously. Our instruments are guitar, bass, synthesizer, and also drums temporarily with some singing lately. If you are interested in this process it'd be cool, but if not that's not really a problem. But what's really important to us is that we envision this project as a collective and not a place where egos take the control. That's why we really want our music to be born in our collective jam sessions and take shape later giving them certain structure to become something else. Our intention is to jam, to create songs, record an album, perform live in venues, festivals and hopefully tour in the incoming future. We see this a learning process where we want to have a lot of fun and very importantly, create meaningful friendships. Currently we're playing on Friday nights in our rehearsal space in Lichtenberg, but we're quite flexible especially if you have your own rehearsal space or if we can find a new one. Our level is quite good even though none of us is a professional musician, therefore it'd be good if you're not a beginner as well and very open minded. Interested, motivated and committed?
