In addition to the bands listed above, between 2015-2016 I played 3 nights a week, every week with a band called The Lianne Rivers Band, around various venues in the UK. I also spent 5 years studying music at Newcastle University, where I got my Bachelor and Masters in composition. The kind of music I would like to make is pretty theory-based. I'm very interested in unusual scales and chord progressions, and would like to figure out how to write catchy, popular songs with these. You can hear one of my attempts at this with a tune called "Carnivalesque", which you can listen to here. This uses a strange mode (1 b2 b3 #4 5 6 b7). It would be great to find a singer who ideally knows some music theory, or has studied jazz. I'm aiming to write music that is unique but also conveys some kind of political sentiment... Für mich ist es am entscheidendsten, dass eine Band ein stimmiges Konzept hat oder man dieses zusammen entwickelt. Sofern die Arbeitsweise innerhalb der Band gut funktioniert, wäre ich musikalisch für vieles offen.     Hi, I'm a songwriter looking to connect with nerdy people who're into smth in between indie-folk and acoustic emo. Genre tags are weird, but .. what I want is to keep playing acoustic guitar and sing, with you joining on any other instrument that would make it a band.     Band is looking Hey there, We are a punk rock band with heavier influence looking for a new bass player who has plenty of experience on stage (small, big, all kind of venues) and with professional recordings. We have experience playing in small/big venues, opening for international bands, touring and recording professionally from our previous bands outside Europe. The idea is to learn from our past experiences and build from there the restart of this new project before the end of year. We are in the works restarting the project, but coming strong. We got several songs already done, the rest are in the works so plenty of room to bring your soul into the project. Most decently recorded for internal rework. The band aims at a music mix between Rise Against, Propagandhi, Sum41 (heavier parts), Pennywise, Bad Religion, etc. Bass line wise, the music style is quite compatible with scale style bass (think of rancid or anti flag) with lots of aggressive energy and riffs. We also have a couple of semi acoustic ones for balance. In general, the goal is to find the right “click” music and vision wise as well as personally. We don’t want big egos, arrogance or entitlement. We like to work our asses off for the same dream and goal! If you’re into this kind of music with lots of critical thinking, social criticism, hope and dystopian concepts in the lyrics themes, you may be who we need!     Hi! I'm a singer-songwriter living between Madrid and Berlin, planning to play live shows during the summer in Berlin. I’m looking for a cajón player—ideally someone with Latin-inspired rhythm—to join me for a few acoustic gigs in July and August. The style is intimate indie-folk with a rhythmic twist—somewhere between Nick Drake, Mojave 3, and Latin fusion. We’d start as a duo (guitar + cajón) for smaller shows, unplugged sets—but we also have a bass/keys player joining for some scaled-up sets, so the full sound has room to grow.     Band is looking We are three musicians: singer/ songwriter; keyboards; guitar. We have reached the mastering phase for18 well-produced (acoustic/ electronic) songs and would like to assemble a high level live project for filming performances/ promo videos/ possible touring. The music is very catchy and very strange. ***INFLUENCES: Bowie, Waits, Little Richard, Tindersticks, Gorillaz, James Brown, The Clash, Eno, Goldfrapp, Sly Stone, Meshell Ndegeocello, King Crimson, Jeff Buckley, Doo Woop. ***NEEDED: responsible, creative musician (percussion? keys?), who can also sing backing, able to commit to learning the material. You must look GREAT onstage, be of any age or gender and able to rehearse/ play without chemical distractions. All expenses are already covered. Rehearsals catered. We'll need to see a video of performance (self-filmed in the living room is no problem). We are quite focused and not into wasting time.
