    Band is looking Hi. My name is Andrej. I am searching for a synth player for my music project. I write and produce songs while my friend takes care of the bass parts. Currently we play live as a duo with my friend on the bass and me on the vocals and rhythm guitar. There is an album in the works which also includes drums and a synth line. Influences: Mac DeMarco, Beach House, the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Donny Benet More info: The plan for live shows is to keep drums on playback and add a person for the synth parts. Ideally I am looking for someone who is okay with playing my material and adapt to the needs of the songs that are written. I am not against creative input, and am willing to put them on future recordings, but everything needs to work with what I am going for stylistically. A female voice for backing vocals is a big plus. I am also open to beginner keyboard players, as long as you can do basics like rhythmically playing an extended chord with both of your hands. My music is all original pop/hip-hop/dance (Simulated Youth is my performance name). Some songs have a dark edgy vibe, and others are totally goofy. When I perform I do live drumming and also live vocals for some of the songs. But most of my songs feature female singers, so I always need to perform with backing track. I’m sure my music is one-of-a-kind but I haven’t been able to have any organic growth in 3 years of trying lol…..     Hi! Psychedelic/Funky Project consisting of Vocals, Bass, Drums, Guitar is looking for a Synth Player as a proper member of the band. We usually unite in Moabit in a room on Sundays. Sometimes we do extra rehearsals in Noisy Rooms aswell. We're in the middle of recording an Album and want to finish and album to use it to apply for liveshows in 2024. We've got over 8 Songs layed out, and operate with a heavy focus on recording/jamming - so we do a structure with vocals guitar, play it, then take it into jam, structure again, record etc until it feels right. One of a members is an experienced sound engineer so recording quality is pretty awesome, we play together live and recording to get the feeling down. Later guitar/bass/vocals/synth can be recorded via home studio. We also got some video recording capability in the band and everyone has live experience etc Ideally we'd love to have a bit of a synth lover that likes to experiment with sounds, is good in improvising/doing stuff by ear but may also have some theoretical knowledge (not a must). Some cool berlin electro sounds could also be very interesting. If you got some home recording setup so we can send you files and you record your stuff over it that would also be super nice. We're doing Logic at the moment but can track bounce so you can use other software aswell. One thing to take into account is that two of our members are shortly soon going into baby break, which is also a reason why we are so recording focussed. So we'll pretty much have to work with what we have. But nevertheless we're covinced that it's worth it and that we're going to get some good stuff out that we can perform next year. Im a fan of meshuggah, gojira, tool, arch enemy and so on plus all the classics of course. But I listen to everything cool (from Pink Floyd, Radiohead, archive, godisanastronaut, depechemode to Chopin, etc..). Plus of course techno and electronic.? So it’s good to keep an open mind (it depends, if we wanna bang with trash metal that’s also ok but maybe a little experimental/electronic is better).     Band is looking I’m Will: the singer, songwriter & bandleader for a post-punk, art-rock project called Cautionary Tales. I’ve just moved from Aotearoa/New Zealand to Berlin, and am putting together a new lineup, for both touring and writing/recording sessions. We're looking particularly for a drummer, although we're also open to auditions from guitarists, bassists, string players, synthesists, etc. We're flexible and open to any instrumentation that makes sense. I’m aiming for a 5-piece, but can see both smaller & bigger lineups working. The project is about 3 years old, and we’re in the middle of releasing our debut album. It’s tricky to describe music in words, but as a songwriter I’m influenced by the great songwriters: ===> Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Bob Callahan ===> Yard Act, Idles, Nadine Shah, the National, Swans, PJ Harvey ===> Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Sigur Ros, Mogwai, Low And intricate, experimental art-rock: ===> St Vincent, Radiohead, David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Einstürzende Neubauten Obviously this is a diverse set of influences, so we tend to experiment with different approaches and focus on pushing ourselves creatively, rather than pursuing one specific sound. I’m looking for folks with great technical skills and solid experience, who are reliable, excellent communicators, and love this kind of music. The project will suit those who are interested in something serious, with deadlines, a tight working schedule, and professional ambitions. I’m a cis white dude, so feel it’s good to explicitly mention that my community is largely queer, and this project is explicitly queer, femme and non-binary friendly. Dilla, Prince, Clams Casino.     Hey there, I play guitar and I am looking for people to write music, perform and record together. To me, it is more important to form a strong musical connection rather liking same stuff but of course it is great the have a common ground as well. I cannot name too many names or genres but I enjoy musicians who have varied styles of songs. Like the Beatles, the albums of RHCP with Frusciante on them. I enjoy R&B, popular music, traditional and folkloric music, drum and bass, synth pop, funk. I usually do not enjoy a very heavy guitar oriented music and like to think more in terms of composition as a whole. Additionally, I studied music and played in a gypsy jazz band before. I have a few demos of compositions and I am really looking to forward to work on, edit with people who we would get along, them as a group but also work on new pieces.     I'm Looking for a Co-Performer: Are You Tired of Performing Solo Too? Hi I have been in Berlin for 5 years performing mostly as an acoustic Singer - Songwriter but, I have evolved my sound. My new sound is more mixture of post-punk/80’s new wave and electronic dance.  Put another way, imagine if Erasure had a baby with Annie Lennox  with the cool aunt being PJ Harvey and the cool uncle being New Order. My new sound does not work solo and I would like to find a co-performer(s) who is/are in a similar position: An act that needs more fore live support. This is more than forming a “band”, it is about growing professionally as independent musicians and making a go of it. Some may call this “collaboration” but my approach to collaboration is a bit different. I have worked with another musician (Matthew Presidente) in the past but, unfortunately they are in Canada. Like myself he is also a lead / independent musician with his own catalogue. What we did is when I had a show he would back me (keys and backing vox), when he had a show I would back him (guitar and backing vox). We have also written and recorded some songs together (PRO registered) and we help each other out with our respective independent projects. We often would do a show with each performing a full set locking in a full night. I am hoping to find a “co-performer” here in Berlin that I can build a similar relationship. What am I looking for: I am looking for somebody who can bring keys and backing vocals to the stage with me. Performances would also include some backing track support (drums/beats and bass lines). I would also what to have somebody to work with for writing and developing songs. In regards to writing, any songs fully written together would have share of ownership registered with respective PRO’s. Obviously we need to have sounds that complement each other. About you: You are an independent musician and you have been at this for a while. You have a good catalogue and you want to take your performances to the next level. You are passionate about music, comfortable on stage and are committed to try and make some money as an independent musician. I am open to whomever you are but you must be LGBTQ+ positive. You should also be available to tour the EU and UK. About Me I can bring to the stage: Vocals (lead and backing), acoustic and electric guitars, keys, synths, bass, drums (programmed and live drums) and Ableton (w/ a Push).     Hallo Leute! I'm Juan (he/him), an amateur singer/songwriter/producer just arrived from Spain and I'd love to find people to set up a musical project with the idea of playing live in the future. I'm not looking for anything in particular (at least on the musical side), but this is what I use to listen: Arca, Kelly Lee Owens, Tami T, Rival Consoles, Forest Swords, Charlotte Adigéry, Eartheater, Jon Hopkins... Also, there are 2 important things that you should know: 1. I like to experiment a lot, but not in the sense of just getting weird noises out of a synth or whack a piano, but to get inspiration from unconventional and disruptive ideas (especially when mixing styles). 2. "The personal is political". I love writing lyrics and some of them can get quite political, so you have to be at least ok with this. This point is even more important than the music we end up making because it affects group dynamics. We need a safe space to have fun and develop our best music.
