I'm a 28M bassist from Brazil and am looking to play original music within the realms of prog/stoner/psych/fusion/indie pop, either original compositions or improv, so no covers (unless it's something like King Crimson). NOT interested in Dream Theater-styled/technical overproduced prog metal. I'm somewhat skilled at composing, and can also do vox/guitar/synths if required. -- German below -- Hey, we are drummer/vocals (32) and guitar/vocals (36) and we are just starting a rock band in the spirit of 70s rock. Our biggest and most important influences are Uriah Heep and Led Zeppelin. Our music should also be in this style. (Only the style is important, we are not a cover band). In general we love late 60's Blues Rock, all the wonderful 70's Classic / Hard / Progressive Rock, but also bands like Wolfmother, The Vintage Caravan or Kadavar and All Them Witches. We are looking for : someone for the bass, between 25 and 45, with the same passion for 70s vintage rock sound and lifestyle. If you love to play the bass and also have love for your sound and equipment, you are just right for us. First band/gig/recording experience would be an advantage. Our goal as a band: We want to make our own songs on a semi-professional level, create an album together, record it at some point, play gigs and also have a lot of great jam sessions and just have fun rocking together. The interpersonal relationship should therefore fit in any case. At the moment we have rented a temporary rehearsal room so that we can meet for a jam session at any time to see if it fits. Band is looking Martin (22 - Bass), Jerry (21 - Guitar), and Levin (21 - Drums) are looking for a male Singer to join a 4-piece Rock Band. The goal is to compose original material, play live shows, produce records, and go on tour, to which practice and commitment are necessary. We love to write songs, but need someone beside us in this musical journey; our future bandmate should be able to bring interesting ideas to the table, without letting his ego take control, and serve the song. Your musical background, compositional design, and taste will shape our sound. Our main influences for this project are: - Desert / Stoner Rock of the '90 [e.g. Kyuss, Monster Magnet, Colour Haze, Orange Goblin, Lowrider] - Grunge/Alternative Rock of the 90's [Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Muse, Nirvana, Rage against the machine] - Classic / Hard / Blues / Psych / Prog Rock and Proto Metal of the '70 [e.g. Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Trouble, Black Sabbath] - Doom / Stoner / Sludge Metal of the early '2000 [e.g. Bongzilla, Black Label Society, Sleep, Weedeater, Electric Wizard] The idea is to always maintain heavy tones, but varying between fast-paced and calmer songs, from groovy tunes to slow movements.
