Writing originals is not entirely off the table though Melancholy, heaviness, a drop of epic, a pinch of wacky and some cheese – that approximately describes my taste :P Name-wise: Steven Wilson, Devin Townsend, Haken, Rush, Radiohead, In Flames, Karnivool, Coldplay, Opeth, Anathema, U2, tons of post-rock bands, and many more...     I am 30M, and I live close to S-Frankfurter Allee. I speak Spanish, English, German, and Galician. I'd like to join some people for starting a project. I played in many different bands and different instruments, but I am nothing close to a technical prodigy. Regarding the music I like, I am quite open, because I like many different styles, but at the same time, I am quite closed because I only like what I like... post-rock, math rock, stoner rock, doom, sludge, post-metal... For me, the main thing is that we more or less have a common ground about music, that we have similar goals and dedication, and most importantly that we get along well :) I'd like to create a project where we write and record our own songs, and where we can meet regularly every week. It'd be great if you live around Friedrichshain, Lichtenberg, Kreuzberg... Because my experience so far has been that if there is a 1-hour drive between us, we never manage to meet. I don't have my own rehearsal space, but I do have good equipment.

Also Zeug wie Shotmaker, Four Hundred Years, Moss Icon, Funeral Diner, Orchid, Battle Of Wolf 359, Reversal Of Man, DS13, Scholastic Deth, Rorschach, Born Against, Charles Bronson, Spazz, Holy Molar, Vorkriegsjugend, EA80, Dackelblut, Drive Like Jehu, The Jesus Lizard, Shellac, Joy Division etc. Zu mir: Ü35 mit Punk-/Hardcore-/DIY-Background und knapp 20 Jahren Erfahrung (Band/live/Studio), habe so ziemlich jedes Subgenre von Crust bis Postrock beackert und bin versiert in den eingangs erwähnten Bereichen, mit Hang zu dominanten Basslines und der Meinung, dass durchgeachtelte Grundtöne keine sind. Brauchbares Equipment ist vorhanden sowie Ambition, etwas von Dauer auf die Beine zu stellen. Weniger Lust habe ich auf Ska, Doom/Stoner/Sludge, Deutschrock, Partycover, Metal in allen Spielarten (außer ihr klingt wie Entombed oder Dismember), Indiepop, Shoegaze mit verhuschten Matscheriffs, Blues, Altherren-Rock, Beatdown, Grunge oder Alternative. So gar keine Lust habe ich auf Antisemiten, Sexisten, homo-/transfeindliche Vollhonks, unpolitische Oi!-Heinis, Burzumshirts, Mackerattitüde und Stammtisch-Geprolle, „Ich bin ja kein X, aber...“-Sager und ähnliche Totalausfälle. Alter (von volljährig bis Apotheken Umschau im Abo), Geschlecht, sexuelle Orientierung, Lohnarbeit oder Studium etc. ist mir dafür völlig schnuppe. Es wäre schön, wenn ihr ein paar Jahre Praxis mitbringt – für blutige Anfänger*innen fehlt mir leider die Geduld.

    Hi all, Valentino here, 31y.o., intermediate-level guitarist playing for over 10 years now. I love music, and guitars in particular (I REALLY love them, I am kind of a guitar geek actually!), but haven't got much opportunity to meet musicians in Berlin so far. I am looking for other musicians to play regularly and have fun together, and get serious writing our own music if we feel like (would appreciate that, but not a must.. what matters is to enjoy playing music!). I listen to a lot of different music, from blues, jazz and folk to stoner, nu-metal, prog-metal, post-rock etc. But to give you an idea, some of my favourite bands are Alter Bridge, Linking Park, Tool... let's say that those genres would be my first choice, but would love to play other stuff as well. I am very motivated, and can commit to rehearsal time every weekend. During the week I may be up for a late afternoon/evening jam as well, but cannot guarantee due to my job. Ich kann auch etwas Deutsch sprechen, aber Ich bevorzuge Englisch. Parlo anche italiano. Looking forward to make some noise!

I can do way more on the double bass than a typical bass guitar player and like using the instrument in unusual ways. I am pro with looping as well. The drummer is based in UK and I am in Dusseldorf, Germany. My Name is Henry (24), I have recently moved to Berlin and I play heavily downtuned guitar through a Sunn amp, Eurorack modular noise machine and also I sing extreme vocals a little. I am quite experienced with music and spent quite few years touring and recording with my post-rock/noise project back in the UK, but now I decided to try myself in something way more chaotic, darker and heavier. I am forming a band, which would include: * Sludge riffs with a thick doom hazy slow and crushing sound * Reality-bending time signatures and rapid tempo changes * Brutal drone-metal walls of sound * Violent noise attacks from the noisiest synths in the world * All-destroying vocals with the words about the unusual struggles of being a human If you are chill and easygoing person with some free time and dedication and who's music taste is somewhat inspired by the likes of: Eyehategod, Buzzoven, Iron Monkey, Cough, Thou, Isis, Black Sheep Wall, early Converge, Sunn O))) etc...     Band is looking We are Drifting Cloud, a shoegaze/dream pop band based in Berlin and we are looking for a lead guitar player to complete us. We have been playing together for the past three years and we would love to record an EP throughout the next year. We are composed of a singer/rhythmic guitarist, a bass player and a drummer, aged between 24-35. We have written ~8 songs (and welcome new ones) and are looking forward to recording and to playing gigs in and around Berlin. We rehearse once a week in Wedding. We have a broad range of influences (post-punk, indie pop, post-rock, etc...) and like to add them to our songs. Some bands we love are: Alvvays, Ride, Slowdive, Daugther, Silvan Esso, Holy Fawn, Explosion in the Sky, Phoebe Bridgers, Suvjan Stevens, Japanese Breakfast… We are looking for an experienced lead guitarist that likes to experiment with various sounds and effects and would bring melodies/beautiful noises to complement the rhythm section and the vocals. We are very open to new ideas, suggestions, and new songs even if that means the sound of our band changes.     (scroll down for english) Hallo, wir suchen eine neue Schlagzeugerin, da unsere bisherige Drummerin leider keine Zeit mehr hat. Wir (3 m -1 x Bass, 2 x Gitarre - Anfang 40, teils instrumental, teils mit Gesang) haben ca. 10 fertige Songs und viele Ideen und einen Proberaum in Mitte, wo wir 1 x pro Woche proben. Wir spielen irgendwas zwischen Indie / Post Rock / Dream Pop. Wir präferieren eine Schlagzeugerin, da wir bisher auch in dieser Konstellation gespielt haben, und diese Mischung mögen. Wir haben keine professionellen Ambitionen, der Spaß am Musikmachen steht im Vordergrund. Gleichzeitig wollen wir regelmäßig an unseren Songs arbeiten, und als nächstes Ziel einen Live-Auftritt anvisieren. Wir wünschen uns daher jemanden, die Lust darauf hat und sowohl entspannt als auch verlässlich ist. Gerne können wir ein paar Aufnahmen schicken und uns dazu im direkten Kontakt weiter austauschen. Our band consists of two guitars and bass (3 m, in our fourties), and we have got roughly ten songs ready and many more ideas. There are no ambitions in making a living out of music, we make music just for the fun of it. Nevertheless we are looking for someone relaxed and reliable in order to rehearse regularly and hopefully play live this year. We prefer a female drummer because we've played with a female drummer before and like a mixed gender band. We rehearse regularly once a week in the evening in Berlin-Mitte.     Hallo, wir suchen eine neue Schlagzeugerin, da unsere bisherige Drummerin leider keine Zeit mehr hat. Wir (1 x Bass, 2 x Gitarre) haben einen Proberaum in Mitte, wo wir 1 x pro Woche proben, und machen irgendwas zwischen Indie / Post Rock / Dream Pop. Wir haben keine professionellen Ambitionen, der Spaß am Musikmachen steht im Vordergrund. Gleichzeitig wollen wir regelmäßig an unseren Songs arbeiten, und als nächstes Ziel einen Live-Auftritt im nächsten Frühjahr anvisieren. Wir wünschen uns daher jemanden, die Lust darauf hat und sowohl entspannt als auch verlässlich ist.     MusikerIn sucht (tl;dr - emoviolence, hardcore-punk, 90s emo/post-hardcore) bassist aus überzeugung (das sternchen signalisiert lediglich, dass ich ebenfalls adäquat mit der gitarre umgehen kann, mir aber entsprechendes equipment fehlt und ich im bandkontext, abgesehen vom songwriting, keine großen ambitionen pflege, diese zu übernehmen) mit 15 jahren erfahrung (band/live/studio) im spannungsfeld punk/hardcore/screamo/emo/postrock und schießmichtot, ü30 und bis heute schwer unerfolgreich \o/ anvisierte richtung: screamo/emoviolence ala orchid, ampere, battle of wolf 359, reversal of man und der ganze ebullition-/gravity-records-schmonz – klingt ja eh alles gleich. auch könnte ich mir emo/post-hardcore zwischen mitte 90er und frühe 00er gut vorstellen: shotmaker, four hundred years, twelve hour turn, ten grand (und mehr bands mit zahlen im namen fallen mir im moment nicht ein). hardcore-punk/fastcore/powerviolence/san-diego-weirdness der marke ds13, scholastic deth, rorschach, born against, spazz, charles bronson, swing kids, holy molar und some girls als dritte option. ich bin zwar stilistisch nicht festgefahren, möchte aber gerne in einem bereich rumstümpern, in dem ich über eine gewisse expertise verfüge bzw. mit dem ich sozialisiert wurde. somit habe ich keinerlei interesse an stoner/doom/sludge, ska, deutschrock, metal (nein, auch kein new/brutal/slam/death/black/heavy oder viking-gefiedel) und alles mit den präfixen melodic, blues, funk, folk, party, cover oder alternative. und da musik machen mehr beinhaltet als ebendieses habe ich keine rechte lust auf antisemiten/antizionisten, sexisten, homo- und trans“phobe“ vollhonks, besorgte bürger, afd-/cdu-wähler, burzum-shirts, flat-earther, impfgegner, reichsbürger, „jüdische reptiloide planen in der hohlerde mittels skalarwellen die neue weltordnung“-krakeler und sonstiger schmutz. abgesehen davon ist mir alles egal: alter, geschlecht, sexuelle orientierung, ob ihr kunst studiert oder militante kleingärtner seid. ein paar jahre praxis wären von vorteil.
