Hello there, we're looking for a kind, passionate DRUMMER with a rock solid groove.
We're a guitarist (m) and a bassist (f) who have played together in a band before but after our beloved drummer left we're looking to start something new in the direction of sad punk/noise/grunge.
We're passionate about creating together, which means we prefer writing songs collectively, jam, adjust, jam, puzzling it together until we're happy (in opposite to one person just bringing a nearly finished piece and telling everyone else what to do). This kind of process can be nerve wracking so we think it's most important that we "click" and are on the same page.

Über mich:
Ich spiele Gitarre seit 1989. Mein Weg begann klassisch auf der Nylonsaiten-Gitarre, bis ich 1996 zur E-Gitarre wechselte. In den späten 90ern kam die 7-Saiter hinzu, und seit 2010 bewege ich mich leidenschaftlich im 8-Saiter-Bereich. Parallel dazu habe ich die Bariton-Gitarre für mich entdeckt (fokusiert auf 6-saitige Instrumente). Den Bass nutze ich seit 2004 ergänzend als Produktionsinstrument.
Stilistischer Werdegang:
Angefangen im Punk, Grunge und Thrash/Speed Metal, entwickelten sich meine Interessen über die 2000er hin zu progressiven Klängen. Während die Geschwindigkeit zeitweise in den Hintergrund trat, gewannen Stoner, Doom und Post-Metal an Bedeutung. Durch die tief gestimmten Instrumente habe ich ein ausgeprägtes Faible für alles Schwerfällige, Düstere und Atmosphärische entwickelt. Schräge Taktarten (Tool, Meshuggah, Mudvayne) sind für mich mittlerweile der Standard – den 4/4-Takt beherrsche ich aber natürlich auch, wenn es der Song verlangt. ;)
Aktuelle Projekte & Suche:
Death Metal Band (im Aufbau):
Hier kehren die Speed-Eskapaden zurück – sehr finster und technisch. Eine Mischung aus 95er Old School (Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse), Fear Factory-Stakkato und dissonanten Klängen à la Ulcerate. Wir spielen auf 7-Saitern (Drop-A), meist in geraden Takten. Ein großartiger Sänger ist bereits an Bord.

My brother and I are looking for some players to help us perform our songs live!
A little about us:
I am a singer with professional training since I was 12. I've been in theater and on stage, and have sung on several tracks that range from punk, electronic, R&B, hip hop, pop, and rock. I've been writing songs with my brother (on and off) since I was 12, and often write my own stuff.
My brother James has been writing music and singing since as long as I can remember. He's been involved in many projects that range from Punk, Metal, Electronic, Hip Hop, Rap, Pop, and of course the occasional comedic song. He's a vocalist and songwriter that has been in several bands in the past. He has been writing, engineering, and producing music since he was 16. He is also currently working on a soundtrack with scoring for an upcoming film.
Together, we've been creating music for the last few months and now we have about 45 minutes of material. We would love for the right people to join us playing them out. Our sound blends a mix of new wave, post-punk, pop-punk, punk-punk, rock, metal, grunge, classical, electronic and pop (but not at all like Justin Bieber or boy bands). We draw influence from several artists including She Wants Revenge, Weezer, David Bowie, Billy Idol, Radiohead, Cigarettes After Sex, System of a Down, Screeching Weasel, Pat Benatar, and Susan Vega.
We are looking for laid back, dependable and enthusiastic individuals to be a part of our project. I believe that we have a solid set of songs that are quite marketable and also that people will really enjoy listening to us. It's easy to say that we are absolutely dying to play them out!

Hello to all the curious (hopefully also interested) who have opened my profile.
I am class of 1972, born and raised in Turin (Italy), my musical training was born to pass from English Punk to flow into the first musical experiences in the underground hardcore punk and then refine sounds and musical style with the Metal '80, Grunge '90 , Nu Metal etc.....
What I am passionate about in sounds in the last 15 years is Stoner in it's more (Psychedelic) Stoner/Doom sense, perhaps because the first musical reference band for me is Black Sabbath who in every sense invented Metal and the above sounds.
The bands that inspire me are too many x point them out therefore I finally get to the point...... I would like to find other fans of these genres to create a musical project (live and performances I can be there but they are not the focus of the project) that has a rough and distorted Weedeater sound that is mixed with dark sounds of Alice in Chains with atmospheric (sludge doom) metal tracks like Sleep/Electric Wizard etc. ... for which singing is not needed ( unless the singer has skills like Tatiana Shmayluk of Jinjer, or like Layne Staley of Alice in Chains).
I like to compose the bass lines of the pieces I tend to start from, which is why I like to create specific sounds for almost every piece I play. Basically I chord everything between Drop C and Drop B , always looking for a darker type of sound.

I guess I've got a lot of gig experience. In addition to the bands listed above, between 2015-2016 I played 3 nights a week, every week with a band called The Lianne Rivers Band, around various venues in the UK.
I also spent 5 years studying music at Newcastle University, where I got my Bachelor and Masters in composition.
The kind of music I would like to make is pretty theory-based. I'm very interested in unusual scales and chord progressions, and would like to figure out how to write catchy, popular songs with these. You can hear one of my attempts at this with a tune called "Carnivalesque", which you can listen to here. This uses a strange mode (1 b2 b3 #4 5 6 b7).
It would be great to find a singer who ideally knows some music theory, or has studied jazz. I'm aiming to write music that is unique but also conveys some kind of political sentiment...

Ich habe während der Corona-Zeit ein paar meiner musikalischen Ideen arrangiert & würde die jetzt gerne interpretieren. ÜBER:
Ich bin Sänger und Gitarrist, im ehesten aus der Hard Rock/Grunge Richtung, möchte aber eher in Richtung Death/Black Metal durchstarten. Mein letztes Projekt hat sich aufgelöst, da ich neu nach Berlin gezogen bin. Ich suche nach einem engagierten Projekt mit Zukunft, bin bereit Zeit und Geld zu investieren und vor allem Herzblut. Ich bin bewandert im Songwriting und habe bereits diverse Gigs gegeben.
