Hi there! I'm looking for someone that plays the Keys - I have a regular slot on Sundays in a room in Moabit and would like to put some songs together there. Genre is psychedelic/rock/funky (open to mutations). In my ideal dream world I'd like to both mix the Doors organ sounds with some improvisation on keys but also cater the electro side - so some beats, abletonstyle elements etc to make it new and hip. Was just watching Jin Jin and saw how they're mixing in electro: https://youtu.be/JoWF6c9cKek?si=WdbnKLM7oDBVc0-o&t=582 - I think in Berlin this could fly. Regarding the current situation: We have a very good drummer, but currently a bit limited timewise due to parenting. Bassist also there, Singer also in limited capacity. We have very good recording setup + materials, with mixing capabilities and home studios and our drummer beeing a pro sound engineer - so we can produce very good stuff. Currently I have some songs that need to be finished in home studio and could use keyboard - you could participate there. And in general the idea is to develop/arrange new pieces, and find a way to record them and perform them live - if you're good in putting together beats we could maybe survive for a while with limited time capacity of drummer and perform. Otherwise we may need to get someone to play with us. The first step would be to arrange/record some songs, rehearse them, maybe test in small stages. So basically I'd need a sort of partner in crime to also collab with developing this artistically. I'm a firm believer in jamming to develop new pieces, so if you like that aswell would be awesome. Unser aktueller Bassist verlässt aus persönlichen Gründen die Band, und deshalb suchen wir nach einem neuen Mitglied, das unser Line-up vervollständigen möchte. Wir spielen ausschließlich eigene Songs, proben wöchentlich in den Noisy Rooms und haben dieses Jahr bereits einige großartige Gigs gespielt. Unser Ziel ist es, weiterhin regelmäßig live aufzutreten, auch außerhalb von Berlin. Merter here (30 m bass player). I've been playing bass for more than 10 years. Still an amateur. Don't expect fancy virtuoso skills but a solid live and regular rehearsal experience with many bands before. In a variety of genres from pop to trip hop and to dirty rock Started playing bass with Jamiroquai than expanded my interest more into acid jazz, neo soul and funky stuff. Things I enjoy playing nowadays are Vulfpeck and some 80s funk.I've been in bands on more rock side of things like Royal Blood, Arctic Monkeys, Muse and such. Also enjoy playing them still. Consider myself a good support to already constructed music (for bands looking to colab on new songs) but not very good at improvising. Although open to the idea. Mainly looking for people I can vibe with, having regular rehearsals to build something together and playing live at some point. Band is looking Hi everyone, We’re a new project looking for a guitarist. Right now we have drums, saxophone and bass. We’re open to different influences and genres, but we enjoy playing rock, post-punk, jazz and funk. We’re not professionals, but we’re aiming to make our own songs and play gigs in the future. I (32m) really enjoy challenging myself on my instrument and have lately discovered how much I enjoy doing so by learning and playing TOOL songs (I play bass). Is there a guitarist, drummer, and vocalist out there who'd like to do the same? No big project, but just a regular meetup once a week or two to attempt to play some of their songs together after having practiced at home. Ideally intermediate level at least (due to the difficulty of most TOOL songs). Anyone up for that? It would be lovely to get to try that with other hobbyist musicians :)
