Band is looking Join a Coached Band in Berlin! Hi everyone! I’m Guy Yaron, a guitarist, producer and band coach with around 12 years of experience coaching bands. I invite you to join a band for adult amateur musicians who want to rehearse regularly, improve their ensemble playing, perform live and record together. This is a professionally coached programme with a participation fee of €650 per person, and It includes 12 weekly two-hour coached rehearsals in Berlin-Friedrichshain, a concert at a Berlin venue, and a three-hour studio session to record two songs, with mixing included. It is made for intermediate or advanced vocalists, guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboard players and horn players who are ready to practise between rehearsals and commit to the group. Rehearsals will be in English. The programme starts in the week of 16 November 2026, with a short audition in early November. Applications close on 27 October. MusikerIn sucht I’m 36, a bassist, and have been playing since my teenage years. I’m looking for an existing band or musicians who are building something new in the Post-Punk / Darkwave / Alternative space. My influences include The Cure, The Chameleons, Joy Division, New Order and similar sounds — dark, atmospheric, melodic and driven by strong basslines. I have plenty of live, studio and band experience and I’m looking for something serious enough to rehearse regularly, write original material, record and play shows. I’m not looking to simply recreate old songs. I want to create something of our own with a distinctive sound, atmosphere and identity. The music ranges from Can to Gorillaz, Devo, Metronomy, Elvis Costello, and Joni Mitchell—it’s a creative, wild mix of unconventional pop and folk/neo-country songs that are written and produced in an original way. We’re looking for a band to share our nice rehearsal space with us on Buchberger Straße in Lichtenberg. The room is 30 sqm, has natural daylight, great acoustics, and can be used 24/7. i play saxophone (soprano and tenor), with pedals too, and have been wanting to have a project where we write songs with structure but improvisation within - the goal is to rehearse weekly (e.g. monday evenings or thursday evenings), gig and record. jazz background (my level is intermediate, probably, with an ok understanding of theory, good with chords, scales, etc) i really like bands like portico quartet, but i am open to the use of different sounds, mixing electronic and acoustic. i like music to move forwards/progress, listen a lot to jazz, modern jazz, classical as well as rock (post-rock, indie, new wave, 80s music, electronic (dark wave)) i got a rehearsal space where we could jam, maybe have a couple of tracks to use as staring points - as a band forms, then everybody chips in. i also play guitar in another post-rock project (but that is totally separate - here my focus stays on saxophone and maybe help out with basic midi synths (i am more limited there)). write to me if this sounds like something u also really want. instrument, gender, gender identity, language, all in - let us play, write together, gig and record (ideally u have experience in these areas already). looking forward to hearing from you!

looking to start a forró group, with a focus on arrangement of classic songs and develop/write others to play live (live music has been, to me, always part of the magic of forró (and other folk music), where people from all walks of life gather to dance). i play soprano saxophone, have been working on covers from Luiz Gonzaga, Trio Nordestino, Dominguinhos, and a few others, including some instrumental songs like "Batuque Destemperado" e "Ovo". I could sing a bit and support with triangle too or light percussion. I have a little bit of a jazz background, am from brasil and play bossa and a bit of jazz too, lived however after 18 yo always elsewhere and now in Berlin since 2017. Let`s build a forró band with an accordeon player (?or rabeca), a soprano sax, percussionist and zabumba TO PLAY LIVE! For the band I do have a place to rehearse (Rockhaus) PS: for a few years i played in a duo with an accordeon player and we always wanted to expand, but sadly he left berlin and I focused then on other projects where I play rock guitar.
