Recently got to Berlin (I speak some although limited German) and eager to get started with an amateur band in order to get to rehearse and do sporadic gigs in the area. I used to be a part of a rock band in London where we worked on covers mostly (Pixies, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay etc) although I'd also love to try some original songs Ive been working on and explore if they're worth anyone's time. I have experience performing but wouldn't consider myself 'a professional' and am mostly looking for an easy going, like-minded band or musicians to team up with and have some creative fun.

Weniger Lust habe ich auf Ska, Doom/Stoner/Sludge, Deutschrock, Partycover, Metal in allen Spielarten (außer ihr klingt wie Entombed oder Dismember), Indiepop, Shoegaze mit verhuschten Matscheriffs, Blues, Altherren-Rock, Beatdown, Grunge oder Alternative. So gar keine Lust habe ich auf Antisemiten, Sexisten, homo-/transfeindliche Vollhonks, unpolitische Oi!-Heinis, Burzumshirts, Mackerattitüde und Stammtisch-Geprolle, „Ich bin ja kein X, aber...“-Sager und ähnliche Totalausfälle. Alter (von volljährig bis Apotheken Umschau im Abo), Geschlecht, sexuelle Orientierung, Lohnarbeit oder Studium etc. ist mir dafür völlig schnuppe. Es wäre schön, wenn ihr ein paar Jahre Praxis mitbringt – für blutige Anfänger*innen fehlt mir leider die Geduld.

I (21 year old from Stockholm) play guitar/bass/piano and have been in some small bands before. I'm open to try all genres, but have most experience with 60s/70s rockpop and funk! My music is all original pop/hip-hop/dance (Simulated Youth is my performance name). Some songs have a dark edgy vibe, and others are totally goofy. When I perform I do live drumming and also live vocals for some of the songs. But most of my songs feature female singers, so I always need to perform with backing track. I’m sure my music is one-of-a-kind but I haven’t been able to have any organic growth in 3 years of trying lol….. I relocated with my wife but I came out of an incredibly busy 5 and half year period performing and teaching drums in Hong Kong. While in Hong Kong I had my two main bands (Jazz band and then a party band) but would often play many different gigs often with many different musicians. I'm trying to get back into a Jazz scene or something like a party band covering a wide repertoire.
