Merter here (30 m bass player). I've been playing bass for more than 10 years. Still an amateur. Don't expect fancy virtuoso skills but a solid live and regular rehearsal experience with many bands before. In a variety of genres from pop to trip hop and to dirty rock Started playing bass with Jamiroquai than expanded my interest more into acid jazz, neo soul and funky stuff. Things I enjoy playing nowadays are Vulfpeck and some 80s funk.I've been in bands on more rock side of things like Royal Blood, Arctic Monkeys, Muse and such. Also enjoy playing them still. Consider myself a good support to already constructed music (for bands looking to colab on new songs) but not very good at improvising. Although open to the idea. My music is an experimental sound of found streams, at times Musique concrète, and raw drum and percussive loops to poetry, prose and singing, and crackling loud electric guitars. Amateur Noel Redding seeks amateur Mitch and Jimi Hi there - I am: musically adept / high level of musicianship (sax/piano) but 'relatively' new to electric bass, and I'm looking for a snappy tight drummer who has Mitch's jazz sensibilities, and a funky/exciting electric guitarist who appreciates and emulates Jimi's awareness of space and simplicity - in addition to their enjoyment of going a bit crazy here and there! I have been immersing myself in the three Experience albums again recently and would love to play these songs as a trio with some like-minded people. I am happy to transcribe/write arrangements if necessary. Initially for some fun jamming of songs from those albums at a rehearsal room, preferably near me in Mitte/Wedding. Interested?
