Hi everyone! I am Thomas (31, Languages: German, English) and moved to Berlin last year. I have been making music (mostly solo) since my teenage years and moved to Berlin to involve myself more into the music scene. Besides playing guitar, bass and singing I focus on producing Hip Hop (Old-School/90s/Boom Bap)....think J Dilla, The Alchemist, Madlib, RZA, Havoc. Stuff like that. However I really miss collaborating with people in person. Whether thats playing in a band or working with artists as a producer. My biggest inspirations when writing my own stuff are artists like Bon Iver, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, MGMT, Beach House, Fleet Foxes, Mac de Marco, Tame Impala, James Blake amongst others... I'm looking for a jazz sax player to record on a hip-hop track (reference: Kendrick Lamar - Untitled 02). Basically just need to improvise on top of a beat. We can discuss the price.
Band is looking We are three musicians: singer/ songwriter; keyboards; guitar. We have reached the mastering phase for18 well-produced (acoustic/ electronic) songs and would like to assemble a high level live project for filming performances/ promo videos/ possible touring. The music is very catchy and very strange. ***INFLUENCES: Bowie, Waits, Little Richard, Tindersticks, Gorillaz, James Brown, The Clash, Eno, Goldfrapp, Sly Stone, Meshell Ndegeocello, King Crimson, Jeff Buckley, Doo Woop. ***NEEDED: responsible, creative musician (percussion? keys?), who can also sing backing, able to commit to learning the material. You must look GREAT onstage, be of any age or gender and able to rehearse/ play without chemical distractions. All expenses are already covered. Rehearsals catered. I moved to Berlin some months ago and after a short period of adjustment i have to make music again. My experience consists of playing in several bands and duo projects, just experimenting with sounds and techniques but also creating, rehearsing and performing music live. My last projects and Bands consisted of a queer - post punk, indie rock, sad sapphic, dream pop, psychedelic rock - band, performing our own songs (i sadly had to leave because of moving), an experimental duo where we dj live and play percussion (which is still on) and an indie cover band with friends based on jam sessions. Se avrete voglia di un ascolto esplorativo, io carico i brani su cui suono in questa pagina in cui troverete un mix tra cover e brani originali creati in questi ultimi anni, a volte suonati in sala con qualche altro musicista molte altre volte usando campionamenti di batteria presi tra librerie o youtube etc..... Also ein klassisches Setup aus Gitarren, Bass und Schlagzeug mit cleanen Vocals, vielleicht aber auch Screams (evtl. auch DJ / Synths). Besonders interessant finde ich die Kombination von elektronischen Beats und klassischen Instrumenten. Minimalistische, düstere Musik, die aber auch gerne überraschende Breaks haben darf. Band is looking Hey everybody! We're Matching Drapes, a fairly new indie-rock/post-punk band and we're looking a drummer to join our project. We're inspired by artists like Wet Leg, English Teacher and Wolf Alice. We really like to experiment though and take elements from other genres as well such as shoegaze and psychedelic rock. We're looking for someone who is committed and wants to help us to develop our project. We have 7-8 songs written but would like to write future songs as a whole band. We have a rehearsal space that we rent and the drum kit in there can be used but it would be important to have your own cymbals (also other breakables if possible).
